Don Mee - The heartbeat in Chinatown

Thank you to all the voters who voted us a finalist in the Chinese Restaurant Category in Victoria!

If you’re downtown strolling through Victoria’s Chinatown, you cannot help but notice the luminous lantern sign that says ‘Don Mee Seafood Restaurant’.

Don Mee Restaurant has been the heartbeat in Chinatown for over 90 years, and has established a tradition of dining through generation after generation. Don Mee has been serving Victoria since1923 with traditional Cantonese and Szechuan style cuisine. They are most known for their generous variety of Dim Sum, Roasted Peking Duck and live seafood, including Dungeness crab and lobster.

Even though Dim Sum is served as small appetizers, it is a full lunch consisting an array of savoury and delicious Cantonese-style items presented on trolleys that circulate throughout the second-story dining room.

Don Mee’s Traditional Dim Sum is served 7 days a week, from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. on weekends and holidays.

A word of Advice

Although Dim Sum is served every day, weekends are the most popular time. To avoid long line-ups, arrive before 11:30 a.m.

Enjoy the experience!
