Fantastic line-up at the UVic’s Farquhar Auditorium
The Farquhar at UVic celebrates 40 years with a new look and exciting shows The Farquhar at UVic celebrates its 40th anniversary with a fantastic line-up of music, theatre, comedy and more. To celebrate this landmark year, they are launching a fresh new logo and look, reflected in signage, posters, brochures, advertising and more.

The venue opened its doors in 1978 and quickly became known for excellent sight lines, spacious and comfortable seating and pure acoustics. The Farquhar remains the second largest soft seat venue on Vancouver Island and is home to a host of community events and activities throughout the year.

The Farquhar season kicks off with a copresentation with the Victoria Jazz Society.

Grammy Award winner Mike Farris hits the stage on Sept. 22. This musical Renaissance man toured as lead singer for the southern rock band, Screaming Cheetah Wheelies, and for the incomparable blues band, Double Trouble.

Opening this evening will be Victoria’s singer-songwriter, Steph Macpherson.

A hilarious, festive evening awaits on Dec. 8, compliments of acclaimed local comedian Mike Delamont. God, dressed in a floral power-suit, comes down to skewer everything from fruitcake to Boxing Day in this all-new holiday special. There’s even a sing-along to start the fun!

Jan. 27, International Guitar Night returns for the eighth consecutive year. This year’s guest host is fanfavourite Luca Stricagnoli from Italy, joined by French Swing sensation Antoine Boyer, Flamenco master Samuelito, and Turkish fretless guitarist, Cenk Erdogan.

The legendary Canadian entertainer and multiple Juno Award winner, Fred Penner brings his trademark message of joy and inspiration to children of all ages on Feb. 10.

And May the 4th be with you when Victoria’s own Charles Ross single-handedly plays all the characters, sings the music, flies the ships and fights the battles, condensing: ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’, ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’ into one hilarious production.
